Changing energy calculation settings
Energy estimation shown on the homepage of the portal and in the entire platform is calculated by the product of the number of units i.e electricity used and the cost of each unit.
Since this cost can vary in different places or even during different schemes of the electricity board, the admin can change the cost per unit as per convenience.
Enable/ Disable Standby Power To Calculations
Some electric power is consumed by devices when they are not active or under standby, since they are still plugged in. this little amount of power might not be significant for a day or a week, but when considering monthly or annual usage this can take from 3 to 10 percent of the total bill. To cut down this factor admin can enable the portal to even record standby power:
Log in to IQnext with the Administrator privileges.
Go to Settings > General Settings > Energy Calculation Config
Click on Edit Button
Adjust the Toggle under Include Standby Power To Calculations to turn it on or off.
Press Save.
To change the cost per unit of energy
Log in to IQnext with the Administrator privileges.
Go to Settings > General Settings > Energy Calculation Config
Click the Edit button at the bottom and then set the new cost per unit under cost/kWh.
Press Save.
