Managing wired devices

Wired devices are equipment that have been connected to IQnext using physical cables and communicating over BACnet/IP, Modbus/RTU, SNMP/IP protocols. 

Wired devices are divided as Mapped and Unmapped devices. Mapped devices are devices which are added on the floor map. Unmapped devices are devices which are not added on the floor map. 


Mapped Devices: 

  1. All the mapped devices are listed in a tabular form.



  1. On the extreme right of each row, is a button, click on it to view, edit, delete, add device as asset, color coding and view connection history

  1. To check the location of the device where it is mapped, click on the map icon , beside the three dots of each row. It will navigate to the map where it is located. 


Unmapped Device:

  1. All the mapped devices are listed in a tabular form.

  1. On the extreme right of each row, is button, click on it to view, edit, delete, add device as asset and map device.


  1. To map multiple devices in one go, select the bulk map option beside the add button on the top right corner of the screen.



Adding device to unmapped stage:


  1. Devices can be added by clicking on the “Add” button on the top right corner. 

  2. Choose from two options - Wired device or virtual wired device

  3. You will be redirected to the commissioning screen, where you need to complete the process for the devices to reflect in the unmapped state.



Notes

Note: Devices need to be validated in the unmapped state and then mapped.
