Mapping HVAC Zones


To understand the placement of HVAC devices like air conditioners, heaters or coolers in different zones, the user can view maps of different floors where each device’s geographical location is symbolically represented along with zone boundaries. Users can also gather basic information about a zone like a zone name, IR/VAV rules applied, AC model, etc.



Viewing and Editing HVAC Zones


To view different HVAC zones of a floor and the devices operating under them.


  1. Log in to IQnext with the Administrator privileges.

  2. Go to Settings Device Zone Mapping HVAC Zone. A list of different buildings in the organization appears.

  3. Select the arrow ▶ in front of the building name to access floors associated with it.

  4. Click the floor name you want to access the zones for.

 

  1. Select the zone from the CAD layout of the floor plan or the list on the side panel you want to inspect.

The selected zone will be highlighted with an outline around it.


To edit HVAC zone rules, name or description 

  1. Select the zone from the CAD layout of the floor plan or the list on the side panel.

  1. Press Save after making changes in zone name, HVAC rule ( IR or VAV rule) depending on the device used, from the drop-down menu, or description.
