Alarm Rules Page Overview

Alarm rules define conditions that trigger alerts in monitoring systems. These rules use metrics, thresholds, or events to detect anomalies or critical situations. They ensure timely notifications to the right stakeholders, enabling quick response to issues.

All the created alarms are shown in tabular form, which includes Status of the alarms, Alarm ID, Alarm Name, Description, Created by, Severity, Devices and conditions added in the rule.


How to use Alarm Rules Page:
1. Click on the filter icon on the top left corner, user can select severity, status, device type according to requirement and click Apply. Users can also multiselect checkboxes. 



2. Users can also search for the alarm on search bar.



3. Users can add a new alarm rule using the  button on the top right corner. Read more about rule creation here .

4. Alarm rules can be sorted using the sort option available in the table header



5. A quick glance of the devices for which alarms are added and the corresponding  conditions is available by clicking on the link button below the respective options in the table


6. Users can increase number of entries shown in the table and move through the entries using the table navigation options in the bottom of the screen


7. Alarms rules can be managed by clicking on the three dots icon on the right corner of each row.




More on Alarm Options


1. Edit : Any changes to the alarm rule can be made by using this option


2. Delete : Delete alarms using this option

3. Alarm Disable : Use the toggle button on the left of each row - to enable/ disable the alarm rule temporarily.

When the alarm is disabled, no triggers will be notified to the users

Note : Options 1, 2, 3  can only be used by the Alarm creators


4. Duplicate Alarm: Users can create a clone of an existing alarm using this option and then assign users to whom triggers should be sent

Tip: Helpful for team collaboration, when any user adds their ideas through an alarm rule, it can be used across the organization by using this feature.


5. Unsubscribe from Alarm: If any users want to unsubscribe from the alarm emails and SMS for any reason, they can use this feature
