Managing rooms on IQnext
The IQnext platform essentially converts your physical spaces into virtual ones. Therefore it would be important to understand the “Space Hierarchy” and how the devices in the physical space are structured within the platform.
Space Hierarchy
Space hierarchy is the space structure for your entire organization that defines where each physical aspect is situated, including the devices associated within those spaces.
Go to Settings > IQnext Settings > Space > Rooms.
A modal containing building names will appear.
Select the arrow in front of the building name to access floors associated with it.
Click the floor name you want to access the rooms of. All the details of the room will be displayed in a tabular form.
Overview of rooms:
Click on the three dots , select the appropriate option from Edit or Delete.
In the Edit menu, update the details and click Save.
To delete the room, select Yes.
Under Manage, two options are given in the dropdown,
Manage Room Category:
Click on it to navigate to the room category page. All the room type details will be displayed in tabular form.
To add room category, click on the Add Room Category button.
Once the room categories are added, by clicking on the Mass room category Allocation button - we can assign rooms to the room categories.
Manage Department:
On clicking, it will navigate you to the organisation details page, in the department category.
All the department names along with the rooms associated, will be displayed in a tabular form.
You can edit using the Edit button.
Once the departments are added, by clicking on the Mass department Allocation button - we can assign rooms to the departments in one shot
On the top right corner, click on the Add button, two options will be given. If you want to add a single room, select “room”, otherwise you can add rooms all at once, by selecting “Rooms- bulk upload” and add the necessary details.
Beside “manage”, click on the map button, you will be navigated to the floor map, where you can select the room of interest. On selecting, the outline of the room will turn green.
All the details of that room will be displayed on the right panel. You can make changes, according to requirement and then click on the Save button.
Adding rooms in bulk
Click on Rooms - Bulk upload option
New page opens up - click on download template option
Open the excel file and update the details
Upload the file
All the rooms will get added to IQnext - after data validation
